The indicator on the cradle flashes red.
The power supply from the cradle to the iPod/
iPhone is overloaded.
Remove the iPod/iPhone from the cradle,
and change the source by pressing the
SOURCE/OFF button on the cradle. After
checking the iPod/iPhone is working
correctly, set it on the cradle again.
The indicator on the cradle flashes blue and
red alternately.
Temperature detection is activated.
Be sure to place the system in a well
ventilated location.
Reduce the volume.
The cradle is dirty.
See page 20 for details on cleaning the cradle.
Remote commander
The / buttons on the remote
commander do not work.
The car audio unit is selected as the source.
These buttons are available only when an iPod/
iPhone is selected as the source and the music
player on the iPod/iPhone is activated.
The remote commander does not work.
Replace the lithium battery.
Make sure that the cradle cable is connected to
the cradle securely.
Remove the iPod/iPhone from the cradle and
then press the RESET button on the DSP
master unit.
Amplifier
The POWER/PROTECTOR indicator or
illumination does not light up.
Either one or both fuses have blown, replace as
described on page 19.
The ground wire is not securely connected.
Fasten the ground wire securely to a metal
point of the car.
The voltage going into the remote terminal is
too low.
The connected DSP master unit is not
turned on. Turn on the DSP master unit.
Check the battery voltage (10.5 V – 16 V).
The POWER/PROTECTOR indicator changes
from green to red.
Turn off the power. The speaker outputs are
shorted. Rectify the cause of the short.
Turn off the power. Make sure the speaker
cords and ground wire are securely connected.
The unit becomes abnormally hot.
Use speakers with suitable impedance (4 Ω –
8 Ω).
Make sure to place the unit in a well ventilated
location.
The sound is interrupted.
The thermal protector is working.
Reduce the volume.
Alternator interference noise is heard.
The power connecting wires are installed too
close to the RCA pin cords.
Keep the power connecting wires away from
the RCA pin cords.
The ground wire is not securely connected.
Fasten the ground wire securely to a metal
point of the car.
A negative speaker wire is touching the car
chassis.
Keep the wire away from the car chassis.
Other issues
Sound is heard only from the front speakers.
Set the INPUT SELECT switch on the DSP
master unit to “2ch.”
There is no sound when the car audio unit is
selected as the source.
Press the SOURCE/OFF button on the cradle
or the remote commander repeatedly until the
LED indicator on the cradle turns blue.
Make sure that the car audio unit is turned on.
There is no sound when an iPod/iPhone is
selected as the source.
Press the SOURCE/OFF button on the cradle
or the remote commander repeatedly until the
LED indicator on the cradle turns red.
If there is still no sound, even though the LED
indicator on the cradle is red:
Make sure that the iPod/iPhone is set on the
cradle securely.
