a)Neverleavesurfaceunitsunattendedathighsettings.Boilover’scausesmokingandgreasyspilloversthatmayignite.Heat
oils slowly on low or medium settings.
b)AlwaysturnhoodONwhencookingathighheatorwhenambéingfood(i.e.CrepesSuzette,CherriesJubilee,
PeppercornBeefFlambé’).
c)Cleanventilatingfansfrequently.Greaseshouldnotbeallowedtoaccumulateonfanorlter.
d)Useproperpansize.Alwaysusecookwareappropriateforthesizeofsurfaceelement.

BURNS.Iftheamesdonotgooutimmediately,EVACUATEANDCALLTHEFIREDEPARTMENT.
b)NEVERPICKUPAFLAMINGPAN–Youmaybeburned.
c)DONOTUSEWATER,includingwetdishclothsortowels–aviolentsteamexplosionwillresult.
d)UseanextinguisherONLYif:
1)YouknowyouhaveaclassABCextinguisher,andyoualreadyknowhowtooperateit.
2)Thereissmallandcontainedintheareawhereitstarted.
3)Theredepartmentisbeingcalled.
4)Youcanghttherewithyourbacktoanexit.

1.0 Mounting
The RL Series fan may be mounted at an angle without affecting performance although the vertical mounting position shown
inFig.1ishighly recommended. If the vertical mounting position is not possible, care should be taken to avoid creating a low
spotinthefan/ductsystemwherecondensationmightaccumulateinthefanhousingasshowninFig.2.Insituationswhere
horizontalmountingisdesiredandcondensationislikelytooccur(bathroomventilationincoldclimates)thisproblemmightbe
avoidedbymountingthefan30degreesbeyondhorizontalasshowninFig.3.
