Class 9049 Rod Kits for Class 9038 Type D
Float Travel
Float travel is determined by the length of the hinge post and rod and by the float position. The float
may be operated in three different positions. In Position 1, the contacts close when the liquid rises. In
Position 2, the contacts open when the liquid rises. Use Table 27 to select the appropriate rod kit when
ordering Class 9038 Types DG7, DW7, or DR7 alternators.
