You can run chains of different pitches
on this chainsaw - depending on the
chain sprocket (see “Specifications”)
The chain pitch must match the guide
bar. In addition, the drive link gauge
must match the guide bar groove width.

Unscrew nuts and take off cover.
•

Turn tensioning screw (1) counter-
clockwise until the tensioning nut (2)
butts against left end of housing slot.

Wear work gloves to protect hands
•

Fit the chain - start at the bar nose -
disengage the chain brake:
Pull hand guard (3) toward
the front handle.

Fit the guide bar over the studs (4)
so that the chain cutting edges on
the top of the bar point toward the
bar nose.
•

•
Engage the peg of the tensioner
slide in locating hole (5) - place the
chain over sprocket (6) at the
same time.
•

•
Now turn tensioning screw (7)
clockwise until there is very little
chain sag on the underside of the
bar - and the drive link tangs are
located in the bar groove.
•

Refit the sprocket cover - and
screw on the nuts only fingertight.
•

•
