Make brick oven-quality pizza on your grill. The Mega Pizza
Stone fits 22-1/2 in. STŌK grills, and most other 22-1/2 in.
kettle-style grills.
Follow all instructions in your grill Operator’s Manual as well as
the instructions provided on this sheet when using the Mega
Pizza Stone.
USING THE MEGA PIZZA STONE
See Figures 1 - 2.
WARNING:
The Mega Pizza Stone may be heavy for some operators.
Use caution when placing or removing the pizza stone from
the grill to prevent serious personal injury.
Do not remove the existing cast iron grate and insert unless
the grill is completely cool.
When using a charcoal grill, light the charcoal following
manufacturer’s instructions, and wait for flames to go out
before installation.
NOTE: Clean Mega Pizza Stone prior to use. It is not
recommended to use soap or detergent.
WARNING:
After placing the Mega Pizza Stone on the grill, do not
remove until it is completely cool. Failure to heed this
warning may result in serious personal injury.
Using heat-resistant oven mitts, set the wire tray and Mega
Pizza Stone into the grill firebox. The handles will slide off
the sides of the wire tray and out of the way, if desired.
Allow the Mega Pizza Stone to cool completely before using
the wire handles to remove it from the grill.
OPERATING TIPS
The Mega Pizza Stone will darken, naturally season and
develop a nonstick surface over time with use.
The Mega Pizza Stone is durable, but it may break or chip
if dropped, handle it carefully.
Avoid extreme temperature changes to prevent breakage
from thermal shock.
Preheat the stone for approximately 20-30 minutes and
cook pizza as directed in recipe.
When finished cooking, carefully remove the pizza. Wear
heat-resistant oven mitts and use a pizza peel or other
long-handled utensil.
CLEANING THE MEGA PIZZA STONE
Allow the grill and the Mega Pizza Stone to cool completely,
then remove the stone from the grill.
Use a plastic utensil or scrapper to remove excess food.
Rinse with water when desired, but do not soak.
NOTE: The Mega Pizza Stone is not dishwasher safe.
When not in use, store the Mega Pizza Stone in an enclosed
area where it will not be exposed to the elements.
