Intended Use This Inline Acreage Rake works for raking and dethatching large yards quickly. It also works for raking acorns or similar small particles as well as grass and leaves. PERSONAL SAFETY Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating the tool. Do not use the tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the tool may result in serious personal injury. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing, dangling objects, or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
Specific Operation Warnings Lower equipment to ground, stop engine, remove key and set brake before dismounting tractor. DO NOT use if equipment is damaged. Repair equipment before continuing use. DO NOT exceed this implement’s maximum speed of 5 MPH. Exceeding this speed may result in loss of control during transport or braking. Keep seat belt securely fastened while operating. Falling off can result in impalement or being run over.
Assembly STEP 1: Attach Axle Assembly (#1) to Tongue Assembly (#2) with two 5/16”x2” Bolts (#E) and two 5/16” Lock Nuts (#C). STEP 2: Attach Pneumatic Wheels (#3) to Axel Assembly (#1), and secure with two 9/16” Lock Nuts (#A). NOTE: Inflation valve stem of the wheel should be facing out. CAUTION: DO NOT over-tighten the lock nut; this can result in damage to the bearings in the wheel hub. When properly tightened, the wheel should spin freely.
STEP 8: Attach the Right and Left Weight Boxes (#9) to the Axle Assembly (1) as shown in figure 4 using four 5/16”x2” Bolts (E) and four 5/16” Lock Nuts (#C). Before Each Use It is recommended that you mow or cut grass to 3” or shorter before raking or dethatching. When the Acreage Rake is in operating position, adjust the height of the Rake Tine Wheels, so raking tines contact the ground lightly. Keep the lifting chain almost tight when operating, if possible.
