Every function parameter corresponds to a numerical factor which, multiplied by the planned nominal capacity,
determines the following:
Air flow capacity = 150 x 1.07 x 0.94 x 0.90 x 1.00 = 137 scfm. (233 m³/h)
137 scfm (233 m³/h) This is the maximum flow rate that the dryer can accept under these operating conditions.
How to select a suitable dryer for a given duty:

Example:
The following operating parameters are known:
Required air mass = 95 scfm (161 m

Air inlet pressure = 120 psig (8 barg)
Ambient temperature = 105°F (40°C)
Air inlet temperature = 195°F (90°C)
Pressure dew point = 45°F (7°C)
Factor (F1) = 1.07
Factor (F2) = 0.94
Factor (F3) = 0.90
Factor (F4) = 1.00
In order to select the correct dryer model the required flow rate is to be divided by the correction factors relating to
above mentioned parameters:

= 104 scfm (177 m³/h)
1.07 x 0.94 x 0.90 x 1.0
Therefore the model suitable for the conditions above is SRHT 150 AC Z (150 scfm or 255 m

/h - nominal duty).
8.4 Connection to the compressed-air system

All works must only be carried out by qualified skilled personnel.
Never work on compressed-air systems which are under pressure.
The operator or the user must ensure that the dryer is never operated with a pressure exceeding the
maximum pressure value indicated on the name plate.
Exceeding the maximum operating pressure can be dangerous for the operator but also for the device.
The air temperature and the air flow at the inlet of the dryer must lie within the limit values indicated on the name
plate. The connecting lines must be free from dust, iron rust, shards and other contaminations and correspond to the
flow rate of the dryer. Should air with a very high temperature be treated, the installation of an aftercooler may be
necessary. For the implementation of maintenance works, the installation of a bypass system is recommended.
