Intended use
Use the product to decorate interior and exterior spaces. Do not use the product for lighting
purposes; the product is not suitable for illuminating working and living areas in your home.
Do not use the product for commercial purposes.
Outdoor use:
The product is protected against water splashes (IP44).
Do not submerge the product in water or other liquids.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be
damaged. In addition, improper use can result in short circuits, res, electric shocks or other
hazards.
Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to
third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Explanation of symbols

Getting started
a) Placing the product
Important notes:
Do not set up the product under water.
Do not hang any objects from the product.
Do not place the product on easily ammable/combustible materials or products.
Make sure that the cables hang loosely to avoid tearing.
Do not fasten the product directly to the installation surface (for example with push-
pins).
1. Lay the product out entirely and arrange the cables so that they are not tangled.
2. Select a suitable installation site and install suitable holders for the product (i.e. screw
hooks, nails, etc.).
3. Lay the product on the holders or on the branches of the tree or bush.
- Use plastic cable ties to fasten the product if necessary.
4. Connect the plug to the connector on the power adaptor.
5. Secure the connection by tightening the plug‘s screw cap.
b) Installing (replacing) the remote control battery
If you see a battery insulation strip sticking out from the battery compartment the bat-
tery is already installed. Pull the strip to activate it.
The remote control operates on a CR2025 button cell battery.
1. Unlock the battery compartment and pull out the holder.
- Observe the diagram printed on the back of the remote control.
2. (For battery replacement) Remove the depleted battery.
3. Place a battery of the correct type onto the holder with the plus (+) pole facing up.
4. Slide the holder back in until it locks.

a) General information
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the
reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying
around carelessly. This may become dan-
gerous playing material for children.
Protect the appliance from extreme tem-
peratures, direct sunlight, strong jolts,
ammable gases, steam and solvents.
Do not place the product under any me-
chanical stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the
product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe
operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods
in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious
transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts,
impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
Consult an expert when in doubt about the
operation, safety or connection of the ap-
pliance.
Maintenance, modications and repairs
must only be completed by a technician or
an authorised repair centre.

b) LED light
Attention, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with
optical instruments!
c) (Rechargeable) Batteries
Correct polarity must be observed while
inserting (rechargeable) batteries.
The (rechargeable) batteries should be
removed from the device if it is not used
for a long period of time to avoid damage
through leaking. Leaking or damaged (re-
chargeable) batteries might cause acid
burns when in contact with skin, therefore
use suitable protective gloves to handle
corrupted (rechargeable) batteries.
(Rechargeable) batteries must be kept
out of reach of children. Do not leave
(rechargeable) batteries lying around, as
there is risk, that children or pets swallow
them.
(Rechargeable) batteries must not be dis-
mantled, short-circuited or thrown into re.
Never recharge nonrechargeable batter-
ies. There is a risk of explosion!
d) Power adaptor
As power supply, only use the supplied
mains adaptor.
Connect the appliance to a wall socket
that can be accessed easily.
Only connect the power adaptor to a nor-
mal mains socket connected to the public
supply.
Before plugging in the power adaptor,
check whether the voltage stated on the
power adaptor complies with the voltage
of your electricity supplier.
Never connect or disconnect power adap-
tors if your hands are wet.
Never unplug the power adaptor from the
mains socket by pulling on the cable; al-
ways use the grips on the plug.
When setting up the product, make sure
that the cable is not pinched, kinked or
damaged by sharp edges.
Always lay the cables so that nobody can
trip over or become entangled in them.
This poses a risk of injury.
For safety reasons, disconnect the power
adaptor from the mains socket during
storms.
e) Chaining
Do not electrically attach this light chain to
another light chain.
f) Heat
The lights become hot during operation:
Keep the product away from highly com-
bustible materials while operating.
Do not cover the product while operating
it.
g) In case of damage
Always check the product for damage be-
fore use. Do not use a damaged product.
If you discover damages while the product
is in use, do not touch the product, risk of
fatal injury due to electric shock!
If the adaptor is damaged:
- First remove the power outlet to which
the adaptor is connected from the
power supply (ip off the fuse and/or
automatic circuit breaker and then turn
off the residual current operated circuit
breaker to disconnect the power outlet
at all phases).
- Now unplug the adaptor from the power
outlet.
