Learn how a license works
A license gives you unrestricted access to all the features
and functions in Symantec Endpoint Protection Small
Business Edition.
You need to purchase a license in the following situations:
■ You want to purchase Symantec Endpoint Protection
Small Business Edition.
■ Your trialware license expired.
■ Your paid license expired.
■ Your license is over-deployed.

Purchase a license
Registering your product serial number activates the
license.
You need to register your product serial number in the
following situations:
■ You purchased the boxed software.
■ You purchased the product disc image.
■ You purchased a license.

Importing a license saves the license file in the Symantec
Protection Center database.
You can import a license file that you received from
