About upgrading trialware
If you installed trialware, you must purchase a license. You do not need to reinstall
the software.
Contact your Symantec partner to purchase a license.
See “About trialware” on page 24.
About renewing a license
Renewing a license purchases a renewal license for an expired license.
Contact your Symantec partner to renew a license.
Downloading a license file
You can download an existing license file from the Symantec Licensing Portal
Web site.
Note: If you purchase software from a Symantec partner, contact the Symantec
partner to obtain a copy of your license file.
To download an existing license file

In the console, click Admin.

On the Admin page, under Licenses, click Registerto download a licensefile.

On the Symantec Licensing Portal Web site, log on to your account.

Click the Licensing Portal Home Page option.

On the Symantec Licensing Portal Home page, click Manage Licenses, and
then click License Catalog.

In the License Catalog, click a license key file name link to download the
license file to your computer.

In the Save dialog box, save the license file in a directory of your choice.
Retain the directory location.

Click Logout to log off the Symantec Licensing Portal Web site.
