An active scan runs when new virus definitions arrive.
The on-demand scan inspects the known virus and security risk
locations.
Administrator-defined
scans
The default Virus and Spyware High Performance Policy provides high-level
performance. The policy includes many of the settings from the Virus and Spyware
Policy. The policy provides reduced security.
