To schedule a startup scan

In the console, click Policies.

On the Policies page, select the Virus and Spyware Policy, and then right-click
Edit.

In the policy, click Administrator-defined Scans.

In the policy, on the Advanced tab, check Run startup scans when users log
on.

In the policy, on the Advanced tab, optionally check Allow users to modify
startup scans.

Click OK.
Scheduling a triggered scan
When you schedule a triggered scan, an active scan runs when new virus
definitions are downloaded to a computer.
To schedule a triggered scan

In the console, click Policies.

On the Policies page, select the Virus and Spyware Policy, and then right-click
Edit.

In the policy, click Administrator-defined scans.

In the policy, on the Advanced tab, check RunanActivescanwhennewvirus
definitions arrive.

Click OK.
Scanning computers
You can scan all the computers in a selected group. You can scan a selected
computer.
To scan all the computers in a group

In the console, click Computers.
2
On the Computers page, on the Computers tab, select a group, right-click Run
Command on Group, and then click Scan.
