Operating Conditions
Fire dampers can be dened as re shutters for ventilation ducts in the place where they pass through walls
or ceilings, which are the borders of the re area. In case of re, the dampers function as a re safety element
and by closing, they prevent the re and smoke from expanding through the ventilation duct during the dened time.
The re dampers are intended:
• For installation in places which are protected against weather disruptions.
• For ducts, distributing air without any mechanical or chemical contamination.
• For maximum air ow velocity 6 m/s.
• For storage temperature minimum -10°C and maximum 50°C.

The accessories can be ordered along with the re dampers. “DN ” stands for nominal dimension.
PKI-C re damper is equipped with a thermal fuse which, after reaching or exceeding 72°C (± 2°C),
activates the spring which closes the damper blade.
From the noise perspective all Systemair dampers are passive. Increased noise can only be heard when the damper
is being closed in case of an inspection or re.
