Installing the
Antenna
Screw th e th readed en d of th e an ten n a in to th e an ten na receptacle on th e top
of th e radio. Rotate th e an ten n a clockwise un til it seats rm ly again st th e
bush in g.
Removing the
Antenna
Rotate th e an ten na coun terclockwise un til its th readed en d un screws from th e
radios an ten n a receptacle.
Bat tery NOTE: Th e battery is sh ipped un ch arged, an d m ust be
ch arged before use.
To avoid a possible explosion:
DO NOT replace t he bat t ery in an area labeled
hazardous at mosphere.
DO NOT discard bat t eries in a re.

If your radio is programmed with volatile-key retention
(consult your service technician), encryption keys will be
retained for approximately 30 seconds after battery removal.
