The condensate drain is at atmospheric pressure (nonpressurized) and
therefore must be allowed to drain freely with gravity only.Please ensure
thattherearenoblockagesalongthecondensatedraintube.Allportionsof
the condensate drain (neutralizer and drain tube) must be at a lower
elevation than the T
H2DV/TH2OS to prevent condensate water from
buildingupinsidetheheatexchanger.
Condensate cannot be effectively neutralized if the neutralizer elements
insidetheTHNT01havebeencompletelyconsumed.Condensatewillremain
acidicandcanpossiblycausedamagetoitemssuchaspipes,concrete,etc.,if
drainedimproperly.
TheTHNT01Neutralizercartridgeisdesignedtolastfor3yearsbefore
replacement.However,theactuallifeoftheneutralizermayvary,depending
ontheapplicationandusage.Pleaseensurethatthecartridgeisproperly
replacedbeforetheneutralizerelementshavebeencompletelyconsumed.
Allpreventativemeasuresandsafetypracticesmustbeadheredtowhen
drainingcondensate.TAKAGIwillnotberesponsibleforanydamagecaused
bycondensate.
Adrainpan,orothermeansofprotectionagainstwaterdamage,isrequired
tobeinstalledunderthewaterheaterincaseofleaks.
