Congratulations on your ownership of a unique TashMart
vessel sink. Feel free to contact us at 713-510-4888 if you have
any questions about your sink.
Sealing your natural stone sink
We recommend that you seal your natural stone sink to prevent staining.
The stone should be sealed once a year unless you are using a longer term
sealer. Sealers do not prevent stains completely, so the caring instructions
above should be followed.
Installation
A TashMart vessel sink can be installed on any flat surface that can support the weight. A mounting ring is not required for
installation. The weight of the sink and drain assembly will hold the sink in place. Place the sink where you want it installed.
Trace a hole on the surface to drill the drain opening. Drill a 1-3/4 to 2 in. opening on the surface where the sink will be
installed. Place the sink over the hole and connect your plumbing and drain assembly (sold separately). Once installed, caulk
around the sink where the sink meets the surface. Use caulking that matches the sink color.
See the video below for more information on installing your sink.

Drains
You will need a special drain for your stone vessel sink. There are two main types of vessel sink drains - pop-up and grid
(sometimes referred to as strainer). Pop-up drains allow you to press down on the top of the drain and stop the water from
draining. This is useful for vessel sinks in master or other heavily used bathrooms. Grid drains are most appropriate for powder
rooms. Some prefer the look of pop-up drains and use them in powder rooms as well.
TashMart sinks have a drain opening of 1 3/4". The majority of vessel sink drains are designed for this dimension. The
diameter of the pipe on the drain will be less than 1 3/4" (Usually 1 1/2" or 1 5/8"). Before buying a drain, make sure it is
designed for a 1 3/4" opening.
TashMart sinks do not have a water overflow feature. When buying a drain for a stone vessel sink, make sure the drain does
not accommodate overflow.
Stone sink drains can be purchased on Lowes, Home Depot, designer plumbing stores and online. Most customers want to
match the color of the drain with the faucet being used in the bathroom. In some cases, the faucet set may include the drain.
