Unfortunately, there are some external, portable 2.5“ USB storages which
have requirements exceeding the USB standards (e.g. too high current
consumption), which causes no recognition between the USB storage and
the SMR USB ports or the USB storage cannot boot up, even if this storage
can be operated connected to a PC without separate power supply for the
storage. In such a case it can be benefitial to drive the external, portable
USB storage by a separate, external power supply, to allow the usage in
spite of its deviating USB conditions.
PROBLEM: THE TITLE OF THE SONG IS ILLEGIBLE
WAP does not support all language encodings. WAP currently supports
character set by UTF-8. Other characters are not supported yet.
AUDIO PROBLEMS
PROBLEM: THERE IS NO SOUND
Increase the volume by the BRC or by the level pre-control (7).
Confirm the volume is not muted.
Use headphones to check sound output.
NETWORK PROBLEMS
PROBLEM: THE WAP CAN NOT FIND THE MEDIA SERVER
Wait a moment and try to search again.
Close and open the Media Server program.
Confirm the Media Server is shared and allows WAP to access media
content.
Confirm a network link is established.
Check whether the IP address, default gateway address, and DNS address
of the Media Server are correctly configured, when a static IP address is
used.
Check if the Windows firewall setting is set accordingly.
PROBLEM: THE WAP IS UNABLE TO CONNECT TO NETWORK
Wired:
Check the switch, hub, or router is turned on.
Check the Ethernet cable is connected to the WAP and the switch, hub, or
router.
If Static (fixed IP address) is selected, check the IP address is not already
in use.
Check the IP address and subnet mask are in the same range, if you are
using a static IP address.
If Static (fixed IP address) is selected, check the Default GW IP address is
properly assigned.
