7.9 Volume control
The digital receiver comes with the volume control option that facilitates operation of the receiver, as
all important functions can be controlled from its remote control without the necessity of using the TV
remote control. Turning the digital receiver on will bring the sound to the last set volume.
> The sound of the digital receiver can be turned up using the right arrow key on the device or Volu-
me + button on the remote control or down using the left arrow on the device or Volume - on the
remote control.
> Pressing the Sound On/O button turns the sound o ; to turn the sound on, press the button once
again. Remember that volume control and muting the sound a ect the digital audio outputs (altho-
ugh not in Bistream con guration).
7.10 Selection of another language
Broadcasting of the programme in several languages or on several audio channels is signalled with an
appropriate message. The user can set another language or another audio channel in the following way:
> Press the Language Selection button. The list of available languages will be presented on the screen.
> Select a language using the up/down arrow key and con rm by pressing OK.
The programme can now be listened to in the set language.
The device also features an option of mono reception of the programmes.
> Use the right/left arrow keys to select between mono 1 (
) channel, mono 2 ( ) channel and
stereo (
) channel, if sound selection is active and the language has been set.
7.10.1 Dolby Digital
Broadcast of the programme in Dolby Digital is signalled on programme activation by the Dolby sym-
bol on the information banner.
If the Dolby Digital function is active, the programme is automatically played in this format.
If the Dolby Digital function is not active, the device can be manually set to Dolby Digital in the follo-
wing way:
> Press the Language Selection button.
The screen presents the list of available languages (if broadcast) and the Dolby Digital (AC 3);
> Select the Dolby Digital line using the up/down arrows.
> Con rm by pressing OK.
The programme can now be listened to with the Dolby Digital sound. If the device is supposed to au-
tomatically play the programmes in Dolby Digital, it should be switched over to automatic play in Do-
lby Digital as described above.
7.11 Switching between TV and radio
The default software for the receiver includes both television and radio programmes.
> Switch the digital receiver to the radio mode using the TV/Radio button.
The receiver will switch to the last active radio programme.
> Pressing the TV/Radio button again activates the last viewed TV programme.
7.12 Information about the channel/transponder
> Press OK to open the navigation window.
> Use the arrow keys to select the channel whose data are to be displayed.
