7.17.2 Timer review
Timer review provides the user with information about all events that have been programmed for the
timer. If the events are overlaid during timer programming, the settings cannot be made correctly and
are marked in red.
7.17.3 Timer settings (prolongation of recording time)
During EPG/SFI timer programming the receiver automatically obtains data for a chosen programme
from EPG/SFI data. The start and end time of the recorded programme are set precisely. Very often
the selected programme begins a bit earlier or later than scheduled, which makes the programme miss
the beginning or end. To solve that problem, the user can set a longer recording time (in minutes). The
timer will start a few minutes earlier and end a few minutes later than the time given in the EPG data.
7.18 Function selection
> Press the blue function key to open the navigation menu (Menu NAV).
> Use the up/down arrows to select the function that is to be activated.
TV, TV Mode: playback of TV programmes.
Radio, Radio mode: playback of radio programmes.
Films/DVR, Film Navigator/DVR: loading MPEG2, VOB, TS or TS4 les stored on the device con-
nected to the USB port or shared network disc.
Music, Music Navigator: loading MP3 les stored on the USB device or shared network
disc.
Images, Image Navigator: loading JPG les stored on the USB device or available shared ne-
twork disc.
> Con rm by pressing OK to choose the selected function.
7.19 MP3 fi le playback
The digital receiver o ers the option of playing MP3 les stored on USB devices or available network
discs. The USB devices should be formatted for FAT32 le system.
> Press the blue function key to open Menu NAV.
> Select the Music line using the up/down arrows.
> After con rming by pressing OK the selection of source medium will be displayed.
> Use the up/down arrows to select the device with MP3 les.
> After con rming by pressing OK the list with les on the USB device will appear.
The MP3 les are marked with the symbol. The folders in the USB device are marked with the symbol.
> Use the up/down arrows to choose the folder with the MP3 les and con rm by pressing OK.
> Use the up/down arrows to choose the MP3 le that is to be played as the rst one and con rm by
pressing OK.
The selected le is now played. Then other les on the medium or in the selected folder are played.
When a folder or disc is selected, playback will begin directly with the rst MP3 le after pressing the
Pause/Play button. Then all other les on the disc/in the folder and in all its subfolders will be play-
ed successively.
