Remember, when activating the user’s profi le the global parental control becomes the parental profi -
le. User selected parental control works only when the Global parental control PIN query mode is on.
9.3.2.2.3 PIN query mode
By choosing this option, or when in the registration mode, you will be asked to enter the PIN.
> use the arrow keys up/down to select the pin query line.
> use the arrow keys left/right to set the pin query mode to On or Off .
If you set the pin query mode to On and have not yet changed the PIN, you will be requested to chan-
ge the PIN.
9.3.2.2.4 Changing the PIN
The unit PIN code is set to 0000 at the factory. To change the PIN code:
> use the arrow keys up/down to select the Changing the PIN line and press OK.
The menu for changing the unit PIN code will be displayed.
> use the numeric keys to enter the current unit PIN code.
The cursor will jump to the Enter new PIN line.
> Enter new PIN using the numeric keys.
The cursor will jump to the Repeat new PIN line.
> To confi rm, repeat new PIN using the numeric keys.
Note!
Ensure that you do not forget the unit PIN code. If this does happen, please consult your retailer!
9.3.2.2.5 Service lock
After activating the user’s profi le, select the channels, sources and functions which you want to make
accessible.
After the fi rst profi le activation all channels, sources and functions are automatically blocked.
Channels, sources and programmes (inaccessible for the user) which are blocked due to the user-se-
lected parental control are marked with the padlock sign. Channels blocked due to the global parental
control imposed on the selected user are marked with the padlock sign as well.
> use the arrow keys up/down to mark the access restrictions line.
> Press OK to confi rm.
9.3.2.2.5. Selecting a TV channel/radio stations
> use the arrow keys up/down to select the Select TV channels or Select radio stations line
> Press OK to confi rm.
The unit for selecting TV channels or Radio stations will be displayed.
9.3.2.2.5.1.1 Selecting a TV channel list
You can select channels from your Favourites list as well as programme list and Total list.
> Press the red function key Category to display the channel list menu.
The active channel list is marked.
> use the arrow keys up/down to select the Total list and press OK.
An alphabetically sorted Total list will be displayed.
