7.1.1. ANALYZER ID
Each type of Teledyne API analyzer is configured with a default ID code. The default ID code for all M100E
analyzers is 100. The ID number is only important if more than one analyzer is connected to the same
communications channel such as when several analyzers are on the same Ethernet LAN (refer to Section 7.1.6);

Multidrop chain (refer to 7.1.7) or operating over a RS-485 network (refer to Section 7.1.4). If two
analyzers of the same
model type are used on one channel, the ID codes of one or both of the instruments
needs to be changed so that they are unique to the instruments.
To edit the instrument’s ID code, access the Machine ID from the COMM Menu (refer to Figure 7-1), then press:

location numbers, company asset number, etc.)
