Each tube comes with a calibration certificate, traceable to a NIST standard, specifying its actual effusion rate of
that tube to within ± 5% when immersed in a gas stream moving at the specified flow rate. This calibration is
performed at a tube temperature of 50°C.
5.8. COMMUNICATION OPTIONS
5.8.1. RS-232 MODEM CABLE (OPT 60A, OPT 60B, OPT 60C)
Table 5-7: Modem Cable Options
OPTION NO. DESCRIPTION
60A
Shielded, straight-through DB-9F to DB-25M cable of about 1.8 m length.
This cable is used to interface with older computers or code activated switches with
a DB-25 serial connectors.
60B
Shielded, straight-through DB-9F to DB-9F cable of about 1.8 m length, which should fit
most computers of recent build.
60C
CATS 7 cable, a shielded straight through cable, 2 meters in length, terminated with
RJ45 connectors.
5.8.2. CONCENTRATION ALARM RELAY (OPTION 61)
The Teledyne API “E” series analyzers have an option for four (4) “dry contact” relays on the rear panel of
the instrument. This relay option is different from and in addition to the “Contact Closures” that come
standard on all TAPI instruments. The relays have 3 pins that have connections on the rear panel (refer
Figure 5-5). They are a Common (C), a Normally Op
en (NO), & a Normally Clo
sed (NC) pin.
