Intercom Operation
A two-way intercom is possible between the base and cordless handset(s) without
tying up the telephone line and since the telephone line is not used, you can still receive
incoming calls.
Making an Intercom Call
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in TALK mode).
2. Press the int button.
3. Use the
5 or 6
buttons to select the desired handset or base.
NOTE: If you only have one handset registered in the system, it is
paged automatically.
4. Press the SELECT Soft Key Left (SKL).
5. The receiving handset or base is paged, a tone is sounded and the following
information shows in the display:
Is CANCEL
Soft Key Left
or Right?
Originating Handset/Base Receiving Handset/Base
When the OK Soft Key Left (SKL) or int button on the receiving handset or base is pressed,
the page is answered. If the page is not answered after two minutes, NO ANSWER shows
in the display of the originating handset or base and the page is cancelled. The unit
returns to standby mode.
NOTE: If a personalized name is assigned to the handset during
registration, then that name is displayed instead of handset number.
NOTE: To cancel the page, press the EXIT Soft Key Right (SKR) or int key
on the originating unit.
Receiving an Intercom Call
When you receive an intercom call, the handset or base beeps. To answer the intercom
call, press the OK Soft Key Left (SKL), LINE 1 or LINE 2 button or the int button.
