11 Operation
11.1 Installing/removing the battery

Installing
1. Check that the power switch (6) is in the OFF position.
2. Align the battery ridges to the slots in the casing, and press the battery in place. See Fig. 11.
Press in the battery all the way until it clicks into place. Never attempt to force the battery in place.

Removing
1. Press the battery lock on the end of the battery and remove the battery from the product.
11.2 Starting and stopping the tool
WARNING
Moving chain. Risk of severe cuts!
Moving chain can cut and cut off body parts.
Always hold handle until chain has come to a standstill.
Remove battery before approaching chain.

Starting
1. Pull back the chain brake handle (2).
2. Hold the saw rmly with both hands. See Fig. 14.
3. Press the start inhibitor (5).
4. Press the power switch (6). The chain saw starts.
5. Release the start inhibitor.

Stopping
1. Release the power switch. The chain saw stops.
2. Push the chain brake handle forward to engage the chain brake.
