TrickleStar’s highly-accurate USB Motion Sensor with configurable
countdown timer saves energy by sending a sleep command to PC
workstations if no motion is detected.

the USB Motion Sensor is an ideal solution for plug-load energy

It also excellent for administrators who are particularly focused on
network security and do not wish to have additional power
management software installed on their network. It is also a great
solution for smaller networks that are unable to justify the cost of
network-based power management software or a dedicated network
administrator.
For installations where there are a number of peripheral devices, the
USB Motion Sensor works very well in conjunction with a TrickleStar
load-sensing Advanced PowerStrip by reducing both active and
standby energy consumption to maximize energy savings in
workstations.

HOW IT WORKS
The USB Motion Sensor is a power management solution that plugs
directly into any available USB port on the computer. A
highly-sensitive sensor detects motion for a period of time
(configurable to 5/10/15/20/25/30 minutes). If no motion is detected
during this time, a sleep command is sent to the computer putting it
into sleep mode, thereby minimizing energy consumption.
Installation is easy and requires no special software or additional
programming; therefore, it does not interfere with existing power
management software installed on the computer or network server. It
is designed to work independently or in conjunction with other power
management tools to ensure that energy savings is optimized.
