RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION • Do not put any object into openings. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ASSEMBLING UNIT AS A BLOWER Blower Tube Assembly ASSEMBLING UNIT AS A VACUUM To assemble the unit as a vacuum, begin by removing the blower tube. Refer to the previous section. Vacuum Tube Assembly WARNING: To prevent serious personal injury, stop the engine and allow the impeller to stop before attaching or removing tubes.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 5. While holding the vacuum door open, insert the assembled vacuum tube (put together in Step 2). Arrange the tube so the flat area faces the vacuum door. The grooves on the side of the tube will line up with the small tabs in the impeller intake (Fig. 4). From the exterior, align the small arrow on the vacuum tube with the arrow on the impeller intake.
OIL AND FUEL INFORMATION Using Blended Fuels If you choose to use a blended fuel, or its use is unavoidable, follow recommended precautions: • Always use fresh unleaded gasoline • Use a gas stabilizer fuel additive • Drain tank and run the engine dry before storing unit Using Fuel Additives The use of a gas stabilizer will inhibit corrosion and minimize the formation of gum deposits. Using a fuel additive can keep fuel from forming harmful deposits in the carburetor for up to six (6) months. Add 0.8 oz.
STARTING/STOPPING INSTRUCTIONS Choke Lever WARNING: Operate this unit only in a well- Primer Bulb ventilated outdoor area. Carbon monoxide exhaust fumes can be lethal in a confined area. WARNING: Avoid accidental starting. Make sure you are in the starting position when pulling the starter rope (Fig. 14 or 15). To avoid serious injury, the operator and unit must be in a stable position while starting. STARTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Check the oil level in the crankcase. Refer to Checking the Oil Level. 2.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS HOLDING THE BLOWER/VACUUM Before operating the unit, stand in the operating position. Check for the following: • Operator is wearing proper clothing, such as boots, safety glasses or goggles, ear/hearing protection, gloves, long pants and long sleeve shirt • If the conditions are dusty, the operator is wearing a dust mask or face mask WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, wear goggles or safety glasses at all times when operating this unit.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING AS A VACUUM WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, turn off the unit and allow the impeller to stop before opening vacuum door or installing or removing vacuum bag. WARNING: To prevent serious personal injury or damage to the unit, always install vacuum tubes, vacuum bag and make sure the vacuum bag is completely zipped closed when operating this unit as a vacuum.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS NOTE: Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emission control devices and system may be performed by a qualified service dealer. WARNING: To prevent serious injury, never perform maintenance or repairs with unit running. Always service and repair a cool unit. Disconnect the spark plug wire to ensure that the unit cannot start. In order to assure peak performance of your engine, inspection of the engine exhaust port may be necessary after 50 hours of operation.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS NOTE: Use the bottle and spout saved from initial use to measure the correct amount of oil. The top of the label on the bottle measures approximately 3.04 ounces (90 ml) or 3/8 cup (Fig. 25). Check the level, See Checking the Oil Level. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head by turning a 5/8 in. socket counterclockwise. 9. Remove the engine cover (Fig. 34). 10. Clean dirt from around the Rocker rocker arm cover. Turn the adjusting nut using a 5/16 inch (8 mm) wrench or nut driver (Fig. 37). • To increase clearance, turn the adjusting nut counterclockwise. • To decrease clearance, turn the adjusting nut clockwise. b. Recheck both clearances, and adjust as necessary. 14. Reinstall the rocker arm cover using a new gasket. Torque the screw to 20–30 in•lb (2.2–3.4 N•m). Spark Arrestor Screen Diverter T-25 Screw 15.

INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE MONTAGE COMME SOUFFLEUSE Montage du tube de soufflage MONTAGE COMME ASPIRATEUR Pour assembler la machine comme un aspirateur, commencez par retirer le tube du souffleur. Consultez le chapitre précédent. Montage du tube d’aspiration AVERTISSEMENT: Pour éviter des blessures graves, stoppez le moteur et laissez l’hélice s’arrêter avant d’installer ou de changer les tubes.
INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE 5. Tandis que vous gardez la porte d’aspiration ouverte, trouvez le tube d’aspiration assemblé (assemblé dans l’étape 2). Positionnez le tube pour que la surface soit en face de la porte d’aspiration. Les rainures sur le côté du tube s’aligneront avec les petites pattes dans l’admission de l’hélice (Fig. 4). De l’extérieur, alignez la petite flèche sur le tube d’aspiration avec le point sur l’admission de l’hélice.

Se tenir en position de démarrage pour lancer le moteur (Fig. 14 ou 15). Lors du démarrage, l’opérateur et l’outil doivent être en position d’équilibre afin d’éviter le risque de blessures graves. MODE D’EMPLOI TENUE DE LA SOUFFLEUSE/ASPIRATEUR Avant d’utiliser l’outil, se tenir en position de travail et effectuer les vérifications suivantes : • L’utilisateur doit porter une tenue appropriée, c’est-à-dire des chaussures de travail, des lunettes de sécurité, une protection auditive, des gants, des pantalons longs et une chemise à manches longues. AVERTISSEMENT : Pour éviter les risques de blessures, toujours porter des lunettes de sécurité lors de l’utilisation de cet outil.
MODE D’EMPLOI UTILISATION DE L’ASPIRATEUR AVERTISSEMENT : Pour éviter des blessures graves, éteignez l’appareil et laissez l’hélice s'arrêter avant d’ouvrir la porte de l’aspirateur ou d’installer ou de retirer le sac. AVERTISSEMENT : Pour éviter des blessures graves et ne pas endommager l'appareil utilisé comme aspirateur, installez toujours les tubes et le sac d’aspirateur, et assurez-vous que la fermeture éclair du sac est fermée.
ENTRETIEN ET RÉPARATIONS REMARQUE : L’entretien, le remplacement, ou la réparation des dispositifs et systèmes de commande peuvent être effectués dans un magasin Troy-Bilt ou chez un concessionnaire agréé. Afin d’assurer la performance optimale de votre moteur, l’inspection du système d’échappement du moteur peut s’avérer nécessaire après 50 heures d’utilisation.
ENTRETIEN ET RÉPARATIONS REMARQUE : Mesurez la quantité nécessaire à l’aide de la bouteille et de la buse utilisées lors de la mise en service. 90 ml (3,04 oz) correspond environ au haut de l’étiquette de la bouteille (Fig. 25). Tournez l'écrou de réglage à l'aide d'une clé de 8 mm (5/16 po) ou d'un tournevis à embout hexagonal (Fig. 37). • Pour augmenter le jeu, tournez l'écrou de réglage vers la gauche. • Pour réduire le jeu, tournez l'écrou de réglage vers la droite. b. Revérifiez les deux jeux de soupape et réglez-les au besoin. 14. Replacez le cache-culbuteur en mettant un joint neuf. Serrez la vis avec un couple de serrage de 2,2–3,4 N•m (12 po•lb). 15.

INSTRUCCIONES DE ENSAMBLE 5. Mientras mantiene abierta la puerta de la aspiradora, localice el tubo de la aspiradora armado (armado en el Paso 2). Ponga el tubo de modo que el área plana esté de frente a la puerta de la aspiradora. Las ranuras en el costado del tubo se alinearán con las pequeñas lengüetas en la admisión del impulsor (Fig. 4). Desde el exterior, alinee la pequeña flecha en el tubo de aspiradora con el punto que está en la admisión del impulsor.
INFORMACION DEL ACEITE Y DEL COMBUSTIBLE Uso de los combustibles de mezcla Si decide usar un combustible de mezcla o si su uso es inevitable, le recomendamos que tome las siguientes precauciones: • Use siempre una mezcla fresca de combustible según lo indica su manual del operador ADVERTENCIA: EL LLENAR DEMA- SIADO EL CÁRTER PUEDE CAUSAR LESIONES PERSONALES GRAVES No podemos exagerar la importancia del control y mantenimiento del nivel correcto de aceite en el cigüeñal.
INSTRUCCIONES DE ARRANQUE Y APAGADO ADVERTENCIA: Use esta unidad sólo en un área exterior bien ventilada. Los gases de escape de monóxido de carbono pueden ser letales en un área cerrada. INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO Y REPARACIÓN NOTA: El mantenimiento, la sustitución o arreglo de dispositivos para el control de emisiones y sistemas pueden ser hechos por cualquier establecimiento de reparación, persona o proveedor de servicio autorizado que arregle motores para uso fuera de la carretera. Para asegurar funcionamiento máximo de su motor, la inspección del puerto del extractor del motor puede ser necesaria después de 50 horas de la operación.

Limpie la suciedad de alrededor de la cubierta del brazo oscilante.

Gire la tuerca de ajuste con una llave de 8 mm (5/16 pulgadas) o una guía de tuercas (Fig. 37). • Para incrementar el huelgo, gire la tuerca de ajuste en sentido antihorario. • Para reducir el huelgo, gire la tuerca de ajuste en sentido horario. b. Vuelva a inspeccionar ambos huelgos, y ajuste si es necesario. 14. Vuelva a instalar la cubierta del brazo oscilante utilizando una nueva junta.
