Maintaining the Trimming Line / Line Blades
Hard surfaces, such as sidewalks, can cause the trimming line / line
blades to wear down quickly or break.
When Using the Bump Head: Frequently check and adjust the
trimming li
ne length. Refer to Adjusting the Tr
imming Line
Length. Always keep the trimming line fully extended.
When Using the Aero-Flex® Head: Inspect the line blades
frequently. Replace any worn or damaged line blades before
resuming operation. Refer to Replacing the Line Blades in the
Maintenance section.
DO NOT force the unit. Make shallow cuts in as many passes as are
necessary to achieve the desired depth. Cu
t at a slow, even pace.
CAUTION:
Only snap the release button into the 90°
edging hole when edging with the trimmer attachment.
Using the 90° edging hole with other attachments could
lead to personal injury or damage to the unit.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury and
damage to the unit, shut the unit off before rotating the
attachment.
NOTE: Some line / line blade breakage will occur from:
Entanglement with foreign matter
Normal line / line blade fatigue
Attempting to cut thick vegetation
Forcing the line / line blades into objects such as walls or
fence posts
