NON-METALLIC JUNCTION BOXES

PART 1 – GENERAL

1.01 SUMMARY

A. This section includes the following:

1. PVC or polycarbonate non-metallic molded junction boxes with gasketed lids, stainless steel

screws and integral mounting feet.

2. Large non-metallic junction boxes fabricated from type 11 PVC sheet using penetration

welding. The enclosures are fully gasketed with stainless steel screws.

Large non-metallic junction boxes shall be suitable for ambient temperatures up to 90 º C. Large non-metallic junction boxes shall be supplied with gasketed lids. Large non-metallic junction boxes shall be provided with stainless steel lid screws. Large non-metallic junction boxes joints shall be penetration welded.
