Chapter 18—Date Book
2 The Home Control Assistant
The lower box shows additional information you entered about this day—exactly as you
entered it, line breaks and all. To see this additional information for any entry listed, select
the entry in the upper box.
There are also three buttons at the lower edge of the month tab. These are:
New—click this to create a new date entry.
Change—change an existing date entry. Select the entry you want to change in the upper box and
click this button.
Delete—click this to delete the entry selected in the upper box.
Notice that the
Cancel button in the lower right corner of the Date Book dialog box is disabled.
You cannot cancel any changes you make using the Date Book. In order to correct a mistake, you
need to either select the listing and change it, or delete it.
Creating new entries
Creating an entry for your own message has two main steps: you select the month the entry should
be in, then you select the date and type the entry. The Date Book uses two different dialog boxes
to accomplish this task.
To select a month for a new entry
On the Home Control Assistant Date Book,
1. Click the tab for the month you want to add the entry to. (For instance, April.)
2. Click the New button.
The Date Book Entry dialog box is displayed.
