SETTING-TYPE JOINT COMPOUNDS USG setting-type joint compounds provide faster finishing of drywall interiors, even under slow drying conditions. Rapid chemical hardening and low shrinkage permit same-day finishing and usually next-day decoration. These products feature exceptional bond; virtually unaffected by humidity extremes. They are ideal for laminating double-layer systems, particularly fire-rated assemblies, and for adhering gypsum panels to above-grade concrete surfaces.
Joint Tapes PAPER JOINT TAPES From the originator of modern joint finishing, USG reinforcing tapes add strength and crack resistance for smooth concealment at flat joints and inside corners. USG joint tapes are high quality, easily applied, and available for specialized uses. J-TRIMS USG Sheetrock® Brand Paper-Faced Metal Trim “J” Shaped, Tape-On (B9) Also available in USG Beadex® Brand (Northwest only) *USG Sheetrock Brand only available in B9 J (1/2") Tape-on “J”-shaped trim completely surrounds the rough edge of the wallboard, providing a strong and clean corner. Tape-on application eliminates frustration with nailing and nail shrink back. Can be used for finishing off bifold closet doors, as well as under all door and window encasements, and to finish rough drywall ends.
