7. Remove the power supply from the mounting plate by loosening
the four flat head screws.
8. Use the same four screws and mount the new power supply to the
mounting plate.
9. Tighten the four screws down.
10. Lift this assembly and slide the two slots at the bottom of the
mounting plate over the two mounting screws that were left on the
tower.
11. Re-install the two screws near the top of the mounting plate.
Tighten all four screws that secure the mounting plate to the wind
mast or tower.
12. Connecting ground wire
Using the existing ground wire, connect it to the threaded ground
stud at the bottom left of the power supply.
13. Connecting fiber optic cable
Feed the two fiber optic cables and the five power wires through
the conduit hole at the bottom right of the power supply. Then use
the conduit nut to secure the conduit at the bottom of the power
supply. After removing the protective covers, connect the fiber
cable marked TX to the fiber optic connector on the left. Then
connect the fiber optic cable marked RX to the fiber optic
connector on the right.
14. Connecting AC power
Connect the five power wires to the terminal block as shown in
Figure 11 on page 30 starting with the green wire. Double-check
that each wire is connected as shown in Figure 11 on page 30. Place
the protective cover plate back over the terminal block.
15. Connecting the sensor interface cable
First thread the sensor interface cable through the left hole at the
bottom of the power supply. Then use the conduit-nut to secure the
conduit at the bottom wall of the power supply box.
Connect the 12 ring lugs of the sensor interface cable to the 12-
position terminal block as shown in Figure 11 on page 30.
16. Conducting off-line test
Turn on the AC power to the wind sensor.
Turn on the power switch in the power supply. Connect a laptop to
the TEST connector in the power supply with an RS-232 cable.
