1. With the latest release (bug fix 3b1 (694)), should I start using Example 18 files as my starting point?
2. My CF1R is reporting slab edge insulation when I did not model any. Can I fix this?
3. The check box toUse this EERsticks in the checked position. How can I get it to shut off when I am
specifying a default value?
4. If a building has heating only, is HERS verified fan efficacy required? How do I model the correct
requirement?
5. Is there any way to get the Overhangs and Fins section of the CF1R to not print on the CF1R (since I
did not model any)?

1. When I have a building with no cooling system, is it acceptable to show this as 0 systems or as
“none”?
2. If I have a 2-zone single-family residence and each zone has a tankless water heater, is it appropriate
to specify the same water heating system (with one tankless unit) in each zone? Will that result in
two tankless units being specified?
3. Is there any limit to the number of multi-family dwelling units that can be modeled?

1. There is still a watermark on my Existing+Addition CF1R, but no HERS measures. What am I doing
wrong?
2. With regard to whole house fans, the User Manual says the attic ventilation requirement is 1 square
foot for every 1,000 CFM of whole house fan air flow, but the prescriptive requirement is 375.
Which requirement is correct?
3. Can I model a single family residence with more than three stories in CBECC-Res?
4. If I am modeling an existing+addition, how do I handle a radiant barrier installed for the addition

1. Are there any tips to help me find what is causing a watermark on an addition that should not have
a watermark?
2. The column named HERS Verification does not always say Required or Not Required. Am I
misunderstanding the use of this column?
