Meet the family. Three HD camcorders.
Three HD recording formats.
Our latest line of High Defi nition camcorders
covers the spectrum of HD formats.
The
HG10 AVCHD HDD
camcorder offers the longest
recording time of all three — up to 15 hours of HD
video on a 40 GB internal Hard Disk Drive. So
theres no need for tapes or discs. Then there’s
the HR10, an AVCHD camcorder
designed for the person who
enjoys the convenience of
recording directly to DVD. And
completing the trio is the HV20
HD camcorder that records High
Definition video to mini DV tape.
That makes three brilliant ways
to get the ultimate in
High Definition video
capture. Despite their
differences, our cam-
corders have a lot in common
like our lenses, for instance. Our
High Defi nition story starts with Genuine Canon Optics.
After all, we have a history of over 70 years of optical
expertise. So it’s no surprise that our lenses deliver
the finest HD image quality. Behind the
lens, we have our exclusive DIGIC
DV II Image Processor, optimized
for HD Video. DIGIC DV II offers incredibly
precise color and tonal reproduction
perfect for HD. Our camcorders also share
another genetic trait: stability. SuperRange
Optical Image Stabilization addresses a
wide range of vibration — from normal
hand-held jitters to the shake of a moving
vehicle. All without any loss in image quality.
Speaking of quality, each of our HD camcorders
carries an auto focus system called Instant AF.
It’s technology that adds an external sensor to
our internal auto focus system. The result is
dramatically faster auto focus speed and accuracy,
which is essential for HD. While we were at it, we even
included the same sensor technology that made our
Canon EOS Digital SLR cameras the
choice of professional photographers.
The Canon Full HD CMOS image
sensor captures HD information at
1920 x 1080
for ultra-realistic detail.
And for the budding lmmaker, each
camcorder comes with
24
p Cinema

formats and features that meet
your high expectations. And no matter which
model you choose, youll discover so
