50 Remove the drain plug
• Close the seacock and detach the
water inlet hose from the sea water
pump.
• Drain the coolant: To do this, remove
the drain plug from the heat exchanger
housing.
• Removethefillercapfromthetopofthe
heat exchanger housing to allow air into
the system and check that all coolant
has drained off.
• Removethealternator.
51 Removal of bolts out of the end
covers
Take out both central bolts from the end
covers and take the end covers with the
O-rings out of the housing.
