Getting Started
Congratulations on purchasing a ViewSonic PJ853 LITEBIRD™ LCD projector. Save the original
box and all packing material for future shipping needs.

• ViewSonic PJ853 LITEBIRD LCD Projector
• Remote Control Unit including 3V micro-lithium battery
• Three (3) AC power cords (U.S., European and China)
• Computer video cable (15-pin mini D-sub connector)
• Video cable (RCA connectors)
• Audio mini-stereo cable (RCA connectors)

Important SafetyWarnings
• Unplug the projector immediately if you detect an abnormal smell or see smoke.
• Do not look directly into the lighted lens; doing so will cause severe eye injury.
• Keep small children away from the projector. Children can be severely burned by the hot lens.
Also, children are more likely to look directly into the lens.
• Never touch the lensor the lamp when hotor warm; doing so will cause a severe burn. Unplug the
projector and allow the unit to cool down for 45 minutes before replacing the lamp or storing the
projector.
• Do not service the unit yourself; doing so could cause injury.
• Do not operate the projector near water or in a humid area. Do not sit drinks on or near the
projector; doing so could cause a burn or short an electrical circuit.
• Do not blockthe ventilation openings in the projector. Place the projectorso that there isadequate
air circulation
• Keep the air filter clean.
• Do not place the projector on a shelf or on any other unstable surface.
