12. COMMISSIONING
Firstconnectthevoltagesupply.Alwaysconnectthelow-voltageplug(hollowplug)rsttotheconnectioncableof
themainsunittotheDCinputsocketofthecharger.Thenthemainsunitmustbeconnectedtothecorresponding
protectivecontactmainssocketviathemainscable.
Alternatively to the enclosed mains unit, a suitable car adapter can also be used for voltage/current supply
(not enclosed, can be ordered separately). The adapter must be able to supply na output voltage of 12 V/DC
and an output current of 5 A.
Thedisplaynowshowsabriefanimation.Duringthistime,thechargercarriesoutaself-testandchecksforany
inserted rechargeable batteries.
This animation is only shown if the buffer memory is empty.
The charger is then ready for operation.
13. OPERATION
a) Initialisation of the Memory Card, Brightness Setting, Select Folder
WithoutinsertedrechargeablebatteriesandSD/SDHCmemorycard,thefollowingdisplayappears:
1 Notethatnorechargeablebatteriesareinserted:„NOCELLINSERTED“
2 Memorycardstatusdisplay:„NOSDCARDAVAILABLE“meansthatdatarecordingisnotpossiblebecause
eithernomemorycardhasbeeninserted,thememorycardiswrite-protectedornotcompatible.

4 Brightness setting of the LC display
Youcannowadjustthebacklightbrightness.Turningthewheelencodernowcanadjustthebrightnessinninelevels
(from0-8)or„AUTOMATIC“,withstage0switchingoffthebacklightentirely.For„AUTOMATIC“,thebrightnessis
reducedstepbystepifnouserinteractiontakesplace.
