b) Starting Programmes
Afterinsertingtherstbatterye.g.intochuteS1,thefollowingdisplayappears:
According to the voltage of the inserted battery, NiMH/Cd or NiZn mode is suggested. Therefore, e.g. for deeply
discharged rechargeable batteries, the active rechargeable battery chemistry may have to be manually changed
againin„BATT-TYPE“andconrmed.
Thenthedesiredprogrammeisavailable.Eachprogrammehasspecicsettingoptions(seedescription„Functions/
Programmes“).
Selectionandconrmation„START/AUTOSTART“leadstoimmediateperformanceofpre-settingswiththepro-
gramme„RECHARGE“(reload).
Ifnoinputismade,theprogramme„RECHARGE“startsautomaticallywiththeautomaticchargingcurrentsetting
after approx. 5 seconds. Each actuation of the wheel encoder will reset this 5 second counter.
Important!
• Therechargeablebatterychemistrymustbechosenaccordingtotheinsertedrechargeablebatteries.
• AmixedequipmentwithNiMH/NiCdandNiZnbatterieswithintheleft(S1/S3/S5/S7)orright(S2/S4/S6/
S8)roundcellchargingchutesisnotpermitted!
• OnlyNiMHorNiCdbatteriesmustbeinsertedintothe9VchutesAandB,consistingof6or7individu-
al cells.
• IfthereisaUSBconnectiontothePCalready,„AUTOSTART“isdeactivated.
The display now switches to the overview of the charging chutes.
