4 Cold engine
Temperature below 50° F ( + 10 ° C):
Pull out the choke fully, do not touch the gas pedal.
Temperature above 50° F ( + 10 ° C):
Pull out the choke 3/4 of its travel.
Hot engine:
Depress gas pedal half-way.
If the engine does not start immediately when hot, depress the gas pedal to the floor and keep it there
until the engine starts.
5 Turn the ignition key to start position. Release the key when the engine has started.
6 Push in the choke until best idling is obtained. Push it in more and more as the engine becomes
warmer.
The choke should be pushed fully in when the engine is thoroughly warm.
Do not race a cold engine immediately after starting.
Engine warm-up - initial driving procedure
Experience shows that engines in vehicles driven short distances are subject to abnormally rapid wear
because the engine never reaches normal operating temperature.
It is therefore beneficial to reach normal operating temperature as soon as possible. This is achieved by
driving with a light load as soon as possible.

Depress the clutch fully when changing gears.
