The calibrated positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve should be cleaned every 15,000 miles (25,000

km). Rubber hoses should be checked for damage at the same time. Replace if necessary.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Components

Inspect and function check EGR valve and manifold nipple every 15,000 miles (25,000 km). Replace

EGR valve every 30,000 miles (50,000 km).

To remind the driver about the EGR service, there is a special EGR service reminder light, which comes

on at 15,000 miles (25,000 km) intervals.

(See section titled "Warning Lights".)

This is a reminder to have the EGR valve serviced. The light will stay on until reset.
