Language dependent user profile
The voice recognition system only under-
stands the language set in
MY CAR.
Say that the voice and language profile
Trained user is stored by a Swedish speak-
ing driver with the system set in Swedish. If
the driver then changes the car's language (in
MY CAR) to English, the voice recognition
function will not work.
This is because the voice and language pro-
file "Trained user" - which only understands
commands in Swedish - is no longer selecta-
ble since the voice recognition system now
only understands and expects English
speech. Instead, the system activates the
option
Default.
For the voice recognition system to under-
stand the driver's English pronunciation the
only solution is to repeat the procedure
described under the heading "User profile"

but then with the system set to English.
NOTE
If a market is not included in the language
list then there is always the option to
select a language from the list and use
voice recognition in that language for navi-
gation.
However, note that if the language is
changed to English, for example, in
MY
CAR, then not only is Voice recognition
changed to English - but Voice guidance
and Menu and Help texts also change to
the same language.
