System Overview
Avid uses an IBM IntelliStation M Pro Type 6868-5BU system (IBM
6868 system) and different Avid board sets to provide different levels
of editing systems. This chapter provides an overview of the IBM 6868
system used by Avid, and explains the types of board sets available,
the supported disk controllers, and any basic configuration rules you
need to understand to integrate an IBM 6868 system.
