Spraying

h Spray Controls

There are two main controls that determine the width,

orientation or thickness of the spray pattern.

• Material ow control

• Air cap / pattern adjustment

1. Adjust the material ow by turning the knob on the

rear of the spray gun.

Tip: With practice, the material ow can also be

controlled by the trigger. The further the trigger pull,

the more material is sprayed and vice versa.

2. Adjust the spray pattern by turning the air cap ears.

For spraying large surfaces

surfaces (chair legs or

spindles)

3. Practice your technique (use provided poster).

h Get closer. The spray gun should be 3-6 inches

away from the spray object.

h Full passes. Spray the material in full passes, not

short waves.

h Light coats. For a ner nish, coat lightly during

rst pass, then cover completely on second pass.
