2. Handling the safety
2.1 To Put The Air Pistol “ON SAFE”:
• Locatethesafetyontherighthandsideofthereceiver.
• Pushthesafetyforward,towardthemuzzleendoftheairpistol
andpushdown.(Fig.1).Thesafetyisnot“ONSAFE”unlessitis
pusheddownallthewayandtheREDdotandthe“F”onthegrip
framearenotshowing.
Likeallmechanicaldevices,anairpistolsafetycanfail.Even
whenthesafetyis“ONSAFE”,youshouldcontinuetohandle
theairpistolsafely.Donoteverpointtheairpistolatany
person.Donoteverpointtheairpistolatanythingyoudonot
intendtoshoot.
2.2 To Put The Air Pistol “OFF SAFE” (on fire):
• Pushthesafetyforward,towardthemuzzleendandpushup.
WhenyoucanseetheREDdotandthe“F”onthegripframe,
theairpistolis“OFFSAFE”andcanbefired(Fig.2).
3.2 Removing a CO
2
Capsule
• Makesuretheairpistolin
“ONSAFE”(SeeStep 2.1).
• Makesuretheairpistolisunloaded
(SeeStep 4.2).
• AlwayskeeptheairpistolpointedinaSAFEDIRECTION.
• Pulldownonthebottomofthegrip.(Fig.3).
• Turnthepuncturescrewcounter-clockwise(Fig.4).
• Slowly turnthepuncturescrewcounter-clockwise(down)untilitstops;
allowinganyremainingCO
2
gastoescape(SeeFig.4).
• RemovetheCO
2
capsule.
FIRING THE AIR PISTOL WITH LOW GAS PRESSURE MAY
CAUSE A PELLET TO GET STUCK IN THE BARREL.
NevertrytoforceanyCO
2
capsuleintooroutofplaceasitmayresultin
injurytoyouordamagetoyourairpistol.Do not store your air pistol with
a CO
2
capsule in it.Thisisveryimportanttoremember,asitwillprolongthe
longevityofyourairpistolseals.

• Checktomakesurethebarreliscompletelyunloadedbypointing
themuzzleinaSAFEDIRECTION,taking“OFFSAFE”(SeeStep
2.2),andpullingthetriggertofire.

5. Safe Aiming and Shooting
• Youandotherswithyoushouldalwayswearshootingglassestoprotectyoureyes.
• AlwaysaimyourairpistolinaSAFEDIRECTION.Whenyouaresureofyourtargetandbackstop,
andtheareaaroundthetargetisclear,taketheairpistol“OFFSAFE”(SeeStep 2.2)andsqueeze
thetriggertofire.
• Donotshootathardsurfacesoratthesurfaceofwater.Thepelletmaybounceofforricochetand
hitsomeoneorsomethingyouhadnotintendedtohit.
• Alwayschooseyourtargetcarefully.Itisbesttoshootatpaperbullseyetargets,whichare
attachedtoasafebackstop.Yourbackstopshouldbecheckedforwearbeforeandaftereachuse.
Replaceyourbackstopifthesurfaceiswornordamaged,orifaricochetoccurs.
• Yourairpistolisdesignedfortargetshootingandissuitedforbothindoorandoutdooruse.Always
remembertoplaceyourtargetcarefully.THINKaboutwhatyouwillhitifyoumissthetarget.
• Theairpistoliscorrectlyaimedwhenthefrontsightbladeispositionedexactlyinthenotchofthe
rearsight.Thetopofthefrontsightbladeshouldbeevenwiththetopofthenotchintherearsight.
Thebullseyeshouldappeartorestonthetopofthefrontsight(Fig.12).
6. Adjusting the Sight
Therearsightcanbeadjustedforwindage.Thisadjustmentismadebyusingascrewdrivertoturn
thescrewclockwiseiftheairpistolfirestoofartotherightandcounterclockwiseifitshootstoofarto
theleft(Fig.13).

7. Use and Handling of CO
2
Capsules
ItispossiblethatcertainconditionsmayaffectaCO
2
pistol,whichcanimpactitsproperperformance.
Theseconditionsincludetheusage,maintenance,andstorageatcertaintemperaturesthatarehigheror
lowerthannormaloutdoorstemperatures(from59ºF/15ºCto69.8ºF/21ºC).Anotherconditionmaybe
whentheairgunisshotatfastspeeds.
1.HightemperaturescanincreasepressureintheCO
2
capsuleandalsowithintheairgun,leadingto
higherthanstandardoperatingpressure.Thisexcesspressurecouldcausetheairguntomalfunction
orbepermanentlydamaged.Maximumstorageoroperationtemperatureshouldneverexceed120ºF
(50ºC).Thistemperaturecanbereachedifyouleavetheairgununderdirectsunlightonabrightday.
Thus,toensureproperairgunoperation,donotexposeittohightemperaturesordirectsunlightfor
longperiodsoftime.Otherwise,theCO
2
capsulecouldoverheatandexplode,whichcoulddamagethe
airgunandcauseinjuriesordeathtopeoplearoundit.
2.Fastconsecutiveshootingmayproduceadecreaseoftemperatureintheairgun,aswellastheCO
2
capsule.Thiscouldleadtoalowermuzzlespeed,(unevengaspressure).
3.Keepinmindthatduringarapid-firesequence,themuzzlespeedwilldiminishwitheachshot,which
maynegativelyaffectthepoweroftheshot.
4.TrynottoshoottheairgunwithaCO
2
capsulethathasalreadylostaconsiderableportionofits
pressure.HerearesomeindicatorsofinsufficientCO
2
capsulepressure:
A)Thesoundoftheshotisnotasloudaswhenthecapsuleisfull.
B)Theammunitionhitsthetarget,butinalowerpositionthanitwouldwithafullCO
2
capsule(thatis,
theshootingspeedhasdropped).
CAUTION:Donotassumethatthepistolisunloadedifitfailstofireproperly!
8. Removing a Jammed Pellet
IMPORTANT:Thefactthattheairpistoldoesnotfireaprojectileisneverareasontoassumethattherotary
magazinedoesnotcontainanymorepellets.Firingtheairpistolwithtoolittlegaspressureleftmaycausea
pellettogetstuckinthebarrel.
• Makesuretheairpistolison“ONSAFE”(SeeStep 2.1).
• RemovetheCO
2
(See3.2).
• Opentheslideandremovetherotarymagazine.
• Inserta.177caliberramrodintothemuzzleendofthebarrelandcarefullypushthejammedpellet
intotheloadingport(Fig.10).The barrel could be damaged if the proper sized ramrod is not used.
• Onceyouhavepushedthepelletbackintotheloadingport,shaketheairpistoluntilthejammed
pelletfallsout.
If you are not able to unjam your air pistol by following this procedure, take no further action.

9. Storage
Alwaysstoretheairgunwiththeammunitionremovedandthesafetyon.Carefullycheckthatthereis
noammunitioninthebarrelandremovethepelletsorBBsfromtherotarymagazine.Beforestoringit,
removetheCO
2
capsule.Keep the airgun out of the reachofchildrenandusersnotfamiliarwithits
use.StoretheairgunseparatelyfromthepelletsandtheCO
2
capsules.
10. Care and Maintenance
Alwaysperformroutineinspectionsofyourairpistol.
- Tocleantheoutside,useasoftclothslightlydampenedwithRWSSpringCylinderOiltocleanall
airgunmetal.YourairpistolwillworkbestifyouputonedropofRWSChamberLubedirectlyonthe
tipoftheCO
2
capsulebeforeinserting.
DONOTuseapetroleumdistillatebasedoilorsolventandDONOTover-oilasthiscancause
damagetoyourairpistol.OccasionallyapplyonedropofRWSSpringCylinderOiltothe
sliderailsandthemagazinereleaseleverandthethreadsofthepuncturescrew.
Tamperingwiththeairpistolorattemptstomodifytheairpistolinanywaymaymakeitunsafetouse
andwillvoidthewarranty.Ifyoudropyourairpistol,checktoseethatitworksproperlybeforeyou
useitagain.If your air pistol is damaged or does not perform properly, call Umarex USA
Customer Service for assistance before using your air pistol again.
11. Safety Review
- Do not ever point the air pistol at any person. Do not ever point the air pistol at anything you
do not intend to shoot.
- Alwaystreattheairpistolasifitwasloadedandhandleitwiththesamerespectyouwouldafirearm.
- AlwaysaiminaSAFEDIRECTION.AlwayskeepthemuzzlepointedinaSAFEDIRECTION.
- Alwayskeeptheairpistol“ONSAFE”untilyouarereadytoshootinaSAFEDIRECTION.
- Checkbehindandbeyondyourtargettobecertainyouhaveasafebackstopandthatnopersonor
propertycanbeendangered.
- Thisairpistolmayonlybeusedwhereyourlocallawspermitoratshootingrangesallowedbythe
