Note:
Third Party Approval Agencies often can approve products to a wide variety of
standards; some of the standards may be under the responsibility of another
agency. For example, IAPMO can issue approvals to NSF/ANSI 61 standard, as
can Truesdail, CSA, etc.
Product identied as being constructed of Lead-Free Brass have a maximum
weighted average lead content of 0.25% of the wetted surface of the product in
accordance with the requirements of the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act.
Product identied as being constructed of standard brass have a lead content in
excess of the 0.25% limit and are not to be used in potable water systems.
Pressure Relief Valve capacity ratings listed are the ASME National Board value.
Definition of Terms
CWP: Cold Working Pressure: This designates the maximum non-shock operating
pressure of the product. The “Cold” is dened as temperatures in the range
from above freezing to 100°F. Above 100°F the maximum allowable pressure
decreases as listed in the product specication sheet.
WSP: Working Steam Pressure: Indicates the maximum steam pressure of the
product. This rating is independent from the CWP rating. The WSP rating is lower
than the CWP rating.
