FACTS TO KNOW ABOUT SUPER ENERGY EFFICIENT WATER COOLER DESIGN
Congratulations. You have chosen a Super Energy Efficient Water Cooler. It is
Certified to a new Energy Star V2.0 standard.
Energy usage, at 650 Watts per day, is significantly below the 870 Watts per day
allocated by new standard. Old standard required maximum energy usage of 1200
Watts.
It saves 550 Watts of Energy per day, or 200.7 kWh per year, saving $30 per year
comparing to the old standard.
Energy Star tests the energy consumption of water coolers on a standby basis.
Energy Savings are achieved using a non adjustable electronic sensor instead of
a conventional mechanical thermostat. It is factory set for maximum efficiency and
cannot be adjusted.
This water cooler delivers constantly hot water at over 80°C/176°F and cold water at
3°C/37.4°F to 10°C/50°F.
Water is cooled using an ice bank. It takes over 4 hours to build up an ice bank which
will allow the ice to cool the water to its lowest temperature.
Since the water is cooled by an ice ring, an adjustable thermostat is not required. In
fact if an adjustable thermostat were used and it was adjusted too high it could cause
the cold tank to freeze which would prevent the unit from dispensing cold water.
For testing water temperature you must use a calibrated thermometer and check
temperature in the actual stream coming out of the faucet.
