To Remove the Drive Motor
1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Perform the procedures on page 4-9, “Removing the Top
Panel and Console/HMI” prior to performing the following
steps.
3. Perform the procedures on page 4-11, “Removing the
Front Panel” prior to performing the following steps.
4. Perform the procedures on page 4-13, “Removing the Belt
and Drum” prior to performing the following steps.
5. Using a 1/4” nut driver, remove the one (1) hex-head
screw securing blower wheel shield to blower housing
(see Figure 1).

NOTE: Refer to Figure 2 for the following 2 steps.
6. Reach around to the back of the blower housing and
aached a 7/16” open-end wrench to the hex-end of the
motor sha. Insert a 1/2” ratchet drive into the blower
wheel square hole (see Figure 2).
7. Turn the blower wheel clockwise (shown by the
“REMOVE” arrow that is embossed on the front of the
wheel) and remove the wheel from the motor sha (see
Figure 2).

Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Use a ½” ratchet
drive without the
socket
Stabilize sha
with 7/16” open-
end wrench

8. Li the locking tabs on the top and boom of the motor
harness plug and disconnect the plug from the motor
terminals. See Figure 3.

9. Locate the front and rear motor clips as illustrated in
Figure 4 below. Using a small at blade screwdriver, insert
the blade of the screwdriver into the pocket at the p of
the clip. Pry the clips o the tab and remove.

10. Li motor from support brackets, slide sha from blower
wheel housing and remove motor from cabinet.
