TRAVELLING ON AN AIRPLANE
The hearing aid, refill unit and cartridge comply with the international rules
listed below.
The hearing aid is only allowed to be carried on the person or in the hand
luggage during the flight.
The refill unit and the cartridges are allowed in both hand luggage and
checked luggage.
In total, two cartridges are allowed. This means that you can have one car-
tridge in your refill unit and can bring one extra.
We recommend:
Check with your travelling agent or departure airport whether the Inter-
national Air Transport Association's (IATA) international guideline is fol-
lowed or whether special rules exist for fuel cells and fuel cell cartridges.
If you carry your spare cartridge and your refill unit in your hand lug-
gage, make sure to handle them according to airport rules for liquids in
hand luggage.
Never try to refill your hearing aids on board the airplane.
The above recommendations are stated in the IATA's Table 2.3.A Provisions
for Dangerous Goods Carried by Passengers or Crew for fuel cells containing
fuel, powering portable electronic devices and fuel cell cartridges, spare for
portable devices.
