5.2 Powering Up the Primary Handset
The Primary Handset is automacally powered up once it is connected to the dedicated
HANDSET port. Depending on the condions of the BDU, the Primary Handset may start
in the following modes:
5.2.1 Full funconing mode
In full funconing mode, there is no PIN authencaon required to start using the FBB
system. All BDU sengs including contacts, messages and call logs are loaded into local
memory of the Primary Handset once the BDU is congured. You will be able to access all
the menus and making voice or data calls once the Primary Handset is ready.
5.2.2 PIN mode
User is required to enter the correct PIN/password before proceeding to Full funconing
mode, Refer to Security sengs menu for more informaon on the types of security PIN
in the BDU.
To enter the PIN:
1. Key in the PIN of the security key using the alpha-numeric keypad.
2. Press key to conrm.
To cancel PIN entering:
1. Press the Right selecon key
2. Conrm to start in Emergency only mode by pressing the key.
5.2.3 Emergency only mode
PIN authencaon is bypassed (i.e. when you have forgoen the required PIN). You can
only make emergency calls or access local Phone manager menu in this mode.
