3 General instructions regarding the bat-
tery:
To prolong the service life of the battery,
observe the following instructions:
z The LI-ION POWER RR 3000 is auto-
matically switched off when the battery
voltage is low. In such a case, rechar-
ge the battery.
z The lithium iron battery must also be
recharged before prolonged periods of
non-use, for example at the beginning
of winter.
z The charging time for completely flat li-
thium ion batteries is 30 minutes.
z The charging time is increased, if the
battery is charged at a temperature
outside the recommended range.
z The lithium ion battery can be rechar-
ged at any charge level, and charging
can be interrupted and resumed
without any damage to the battery (no
memory effect).
Working with the secateurs
1 Caution! Sharp cutting edges!
z Keep your hands out of the cutting ran-
ge. .
z Ensure that you are standing on firm
ground, especially when working abo-
ve head height.
z Keep the blade away from your body.
Prepare the secateurs for operation.
z Place the battery in the tool as shown in fi-
gure
Switch on the secateurs
3 The LI-ION POWER RR 3000 is suitable
for both right-handed and left-handed
users.
1. Press and hold the release switch
(1).
2. Press the ON/OFF switch (2).
3. Release the release switch.
3 If the ON/OFF switch remains pressed,
the blades open and close continuous-
ly, whereby the blade remains open for
approx. 0.8 seconds before it closes
again.
Switch off the secateurs
z Release the ON/OFF switch (2).
3 As soon as the tool is switched off, the
blades are opened.
Blade protection
3 The blade protection reduces the risk
of injury.
z Place the blade on the branch to be cut
(1).
z The blade protection is automatically
pushed upwards (2).
Overload protection
3 In the event of an overload or blocka-
ge, the blades open and the motor is
automatically switched off!
z Disconnect the battery and eliminate
the cause!
z After the cause of the overload has
been eliminated, the secateurs can be
switched on again.
Cutting tips
1 Caution! Sharp cutting edges!
Hold the branch with your free hand. En-
sure that this hand is well clear of the cut-
ting range. .
3 Pruning times:
z Deciduous hedges: May/June and Oc-
tober (cut back by approx. 1/3 of the to-
tal height during winter)
z Coniferous hedges: April and October
z Conifers: April and October
z Floribunda roses: April/May
z Spring-flowering plants: May/June
z Soft fruit plants: January/February, Ju-
ly/August, November/December
z Trees: Mid of October to end of De-
cember
Maintenance
General instructions
1 Caution! Sharp cutting edges!
Before carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning work:
z Remove the battery .
z Do not touch the moving blade.
Cleaning
z Clean the tool after every use with a dry cloth.
if necessary, use a brush to remove persis-
tent dirt.
z Never clean the tool with a water jet.
