WARNING DO NOT use on porous surfaces, i.e. painted surfaces, wood, brick, concrete and chalkboards if you want to remove the marker later. Always test in a small inconspicuous area of any surface before use. See below for instructions on how to test. Porous surfaces absorb the chalk paint pigment and as a result may experience light staining/shadowing. We highly do not recommend use on porous surfaces.
How to Use? First time use: hold the marker tip up vertically and press the tip to release pressure Before each use, shake well for 10 seconds with cap on. You should hear the ball-bearings rattling around inside the marker Hold the marker vertically and press the tip in for 5-30 seconds until the tip fills with ink on a horizontal surface. You will see ink start to seep into the tip.
Testing Your Drawing Surface If you are unsure whether the surface you intend to draw on is porous or not, we suggest testing first. Find an inconspicuous area on the surface to test your markers Place a small dot or line on the surface Repeat with all colors. It pays to test all colors as some may leave more obvious shadowing than others depending on the color of your drawing surface, especially the surface is really important and expensive to you Leave overnight – Patience is required.
